Back, catching up, Gonzo tattoo

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit here, folks. I've been playing catch-up, both at work and in terms of sleep. Miraculously, I managed to hammer out a half-hearted column (of the requisite 17 column inches) and a sports story, plus fill the rest of the section with wire stories and relevant sports information in the combined total of one day that the Army gave me since I got back in the wee hours of Monday morning.
A lot has happened. The Base Realignment And Closure list came out, and Knox was spared - sort of. Newsweek attempted to raise a damning story out of the military's behavior in the middle east, and only succeeded in causing the deaths of several victims of mass riots and flushing their own reputation down the toilet that some G.I. supposedly flushed an entire Koran down.
Interesting points all around, and I'm going to have to get to them in their due course.
For now, though, it's enjoying the nice weather and downing a couple more beers before I head to bed. Tomorrow morning, I'm headed for Operation Golden Flow at 0600.

Right. I can see it now. You two passed out cold from drinking until all hours of the night while I'm safely tucked away in bed by 11pm, me up in the morning, by the pool sunning while you 2 are hungover, scratching yourselves.

Shespecies is too busy with work. April's got enough on her plate right now. Ditto with Gambit. Deviant would be torn between drinking with the boys and hanging with me.
I think I need to invite a gay male friend - he can enjoy the sunning and shopping with me. (Now wouldn't that be a hoot? LMAO)
