BroGonzo starts moving
Well, since I figure tBlog has approximately zero credibility when it comes to the Blogosphere As A Whole, I'm moving the entire works over to the site formerly occupied by Smokin' News, the short-lived blog I had with blogger.
The template will remain largely the same, and of course, the humorous social commentary will remain. I'm just tired of being associated with a network that's known as a "teen" blogsite, and I'm trying to hit the big-time.
Also, I'll be transferring most of the entries I have here to the new site, but with the HaloScan commenting, the comments will be reset to zero, effectively.
I'll be redoing my blogroll, so email (the contact email address is easily available) if you want to stay on it.
Cheers. Thanks, tBlog, for giving me a start in the blogworld.

Guess who I talked to today? Mike aka Saint! He and "J" are closing on a townhouse on Wednesday. Big tub in the Master BR, etc.
So now we have a place to crash in DC. LOL
He sounds good but he said that he's getting pudgy in civvie life. (I told him in 10 years, he's going to be scooting around Disneyland on one of those motorized carts) he he

What qualifies as "the bigtime" in blogland?
And do you know how to delete comments using haloscan? Some turd has made some rather annoying comments on my other blog and I don't want to have to delete ALL of my comments. (And I've enable anonymous posting but he still continues)

We would have had a place to crash in DC anyway. A buddy of mine is a fiddler for an Irish rock band there, and we're thick as thieves. But still, cool
And I'm basically the wrong person to ask when it comes to deleting things or anything else technical when it comes to the Net. Sorry, Scubs. Still, let's get this roadtrip together.

Bryon got pulled over by an OK state trooper while talking to me about toe-licking. (Where he came up with that idea, I have NO idea)
He hasn't called me back yet. I'm beginning to worry. Do most bailbondsment take Paypal for bond?
He said he starts his shift at 21:30 or was it 23:30? I don't remember... (I don't want to interrupt his beauty sleep)

Well, 2130 is 9:30 p.m., and 2330 is 11:30. Call prior.

LOl - thanks. See, if I call prior to 21:30, and he isn't going in until 23:30, I'm waking him up.
And if I wait until right before 23:30 and he went in at 21:30, he's going to be 'work mode' and let's just say he's not exactly a ray of sunshine then.

Wise move, Brogonzo. It's a hard slog out there because it's not the microscopic, easy-interaction, community-based that tBlog is, but as you rightly point out, tBlog is the laughing stock of the 10s of millions of serious bloggers. Be prepared to do a lot of blog visiting, dropping comments, getting to know the biggies out there, and generally speaking spending a lot of time in order to get attention.
If I can give you one small piece of advice regarding comments: forget HaloScan. It sucks in several respects, namely: there is a limit to the number of characters one can write in a comment, even in the paying version, which means ppl who have actual discussions on a pos (as opposed to inane tBlog-style one-liners) find their comments chopped off; the comments get discarded after a few months; you can easily deal with spam.
A couple of months ago Blogger revamped their commenting system, which was a very pressing need since it used to suck so bad that it's one of the reasons HaloScan found a niche. Now, their system is quite neat and attractive looking too.
Anyway, all the best. You're a good writer, you have a good brain, and you have real things to say. You deserve to be read by the masses as well as by the smart ppl out there, not just the teenagers of tBlog.
Cheers :-)

PS: about HaloScan: I meant: you CAN'T easily deal with spam. By the way, that's another improvement Blogger have made: not only can you permanently delete comments which are clearly spam, but the commenters can remove their own comments.
